This month’s strategies are inspired by my book Doing Business Under the Moonlight, where I explain how to align your decision-making, business, and project planning with the lunar cycle. What you’ll read here are just a few examples of how you can use September’s Moon phases for business and project planning.
With your own creativity and needs, you could take this much further. If you want the full framework, I invite you to get the book and explore all the tools it offers.
September brings us four key lunar phases, each with its own invitation for business strategy:
September 7: Full Moon in Pisces (Lunar Eclipse)
A moment of revelation and culmination. In business terms, this is the perfect time to make something visible: launch a product, share results, or reveal a new direction. Because it’s an eclipse, it also invites us to let go of illusions—review if a project is truly aligned with your purpose before pushing it forward.
September 14: Last Quarter in Gemini
Gemini energy brings analysis and communication. Use this phase to audit your strategies—review financial reports, reorganize your communication channels, and release inefficient suppliers or collaborations. It’s also a good time to end projects that drain your focus.
September 21: New Moon in Libra
The New Moon invites beginnings, and Libra highlights partnerships. This is the best moment of the month to initiate collaborations, draft agreements, or set intentions for joint ventures. Symbolically, you could start by writing down the type of partner or alliance you want to attract, knowing that the seed you plant now will grow.
September 29: First Quarter in Capricorn
Capricorn adds structure and discipline. Here is where the spark of action is needed: initiate concrete steps toward the intentions you planted on the New Moon. Register a business name, file paperwork, or activate a budget. It’s a decisive moment to give your ideas a professional backbone.
Example Strategies for September
Use the Full Moon eclipse to host a team meeting where everyone shares achievements, but also to close cycles that no longer serve.
During the Last Quarter, clean your digital workspace, archive old projects, unsubscribe from unhelpful services, or reorganize workflows.
On the New Moon in Libra, reach out to a potential mentor or partner with a symbolic first email or message.
At the First Quarter in Capricorn, sign contracts, launch internal procedures, or implement tools that give structure to your growth.
The power of lunar planning lies not in perfection, but in conscious strategy. Each symbolic act you align with the Moon becomes an energetic imprint that strengthens your projects. And if these few ideas spark something for you, imagine how much more you can do when you dive deeper into the full method inside Doing Business Under the Moonlight.
